Range of pre-mixed drinks have been pulled from bottle shops across Australia

News mixed drinks pulled from stores

Due to faulty packaging, a number of pre-mixed gin and vodka drinks have been recalled from bottle stores around Australia.

Because of a flaw in the 355ml bottles, Ampersand Projects is recalling Pink Gin Soda, Vodka Soda, and Vodka Soda Black.

The packaging fault causes the cap to pop off the bottle, causing a risk of harm if opened, according to Food Standards Australia.

The warning stated that consumers should not open or consume this product, and it should be disposed safely (away from the body).

In Queensland, NSW, ACT, Victoria, Tasmania, and Western Australia, the alcoholic beverages were available through BWS, Dan Murphy’s, and online, as well as independent retailers, liquor stores, and licensed premises.

Bottles with the following markings are included in the recall:

  • Pink Gin Soda – Batch LC14: BB: 05.08.23, Batch LC13: BB: 23.08.23 – 25.08.23, Batch LC18: BB: 01.09.23 – 03.09.23
  • Vodka Soda – Batch LC11: BB: 14.08.23 – 16.08.23
